Nearly 200 children each year find a safe haven at Neighborhood House with our year-round school age program. This program provides before and after school care and full day school break programs for children kindergarten through 6th grade. The goal is to support working parents and provide youth with a safe, supportive place to be while not in school.

Our School Age program includes transportation to and from neighboring schools, it also provides breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack, STEM learning, off site field trips, and outdoor adventures—all of this is included in your monthly tuition.

The curriculum used in Neighborhood House School Age program provides wonderful opportunities for youth to expand their learning, increase their confidence, become involved with the community, and acquire the tools they need to succeed. Our program works to keep school age children actively engaged and interested in positive, stimulating activities regardless of their family’s ability to pay.

Activities include:

  • Art projects
  • Cooking experiences
  • Science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) activities
  • Tutoring time for children in need
  • Reading time
  • Outdoor sports and other recreational activities
