The Power of Intergeneration Programming
At Neighborhood House, we believe that the best care comes from building relationships across generations. Our intergenerational programming connects older adults with young children in meaningful, shared activities that promote mutual learning, empathy, and understanding. These interactions enrich the lives of both adults and youth, offering new perspectives and lasting memories.
Why It's Special
- Breaking Barriers - Promotes understanding of aging and disabilities
- Mutual Enrichment - Both children and adults learn from one another
- Cognitive Benefits - Engaging with younger generations stimulates cognitive function, helping to enhance memory, problem-solving skills, and overall brain health.
- Engaging & Fun - Activities that foster connection and joy
