Neighborhood House Serves a Lifeline: Annual "Giving Thanks" Meal Spotlights Family Support
Neighborhood House recently hosted its annual "Giving Thanks" meal, a cherished tradition that has become a critical touchpoint for Utah families struggling under the pressure of rising costs. This event highlights the year-round, essential work the nonprofit performs to ensure low-income families have both a warm meal and the crucial support needed to thrive.

Fighting Financial Strain with Affordable Care
For 130 years, Neighborhood House has been a lifeline, with 93% of the families we serve living in poverty. The core of our mission is highly subsidized, high-quality childcare and preschool, a resource Executive Director Jennifer Nuttall calls essential for helping parents "climb the economic ladder." As one single mom noted, having this "beautiful place my kids can stay while I go to work" is a challenge she couldn't face alone.
The impact of this support extends far beyond one holiday meal; it helps parents remain in the workforce, maintain their dignity, and strengthen families for generations down the road.
