Neighborhood House Anchors New $99M Affordable Development on North Temple

Neighborhood House is a vital partner in the newly opened SPARK Apartments, a $99 million mixed-use, affordable development that brings 200 below-market units to Salt Lake City's West Side, directly across from the proposed Power District. This landmark project, located just steps from the Power Station TRAX stop, uniquely addresses the community's critical needs by including on-site child care space operated by Neighborhood House.

Developed by Brinshore Development, SPARK contributes urgently needed deeply affordable housing to the city, with nearly a quarter of its units (48 out of 200) reserved for families earning just 20-30% of the Area Median Income (AMI). The integration of Neighborhood House's facility ensures that low-income residents have convenient access to high-quality early childhood education, which Brinshore's principal described as the "most important piece" for family success.

The development replaces the former Overnighter Motel site, transforming a source of blight into a major new community hub that will house between 700 and 800 residents.
