Neighborhood House at SPARK: Our New Location Featured on PBS Utah

Our newest childcare site, Neighborhood House at SPARK, is already making headlines. PBS Utah’s Insight series recently spotlighted the SPARK development as a model for addressing Utah’s childcare crisis by combining affordable housing and high-quality early education under one roof.

Located just five minutes from our main campus, SPARK is Neighborhood Houses' first satellite location and will serve up to 55 children ages 3–4, offering our nationally accredited, kindergarten-ready curriculum. Tuition is offered on a sliding scale, so families pay only what they can afford.

Thanks to an innovative partnership with Brinshore Development and the Scott W. and Betsy D. Thornton Family Foundation, we can meet growing demand without the cost of new construction.

We’re honored to be part of a solution that not only supports Salt Lake City’s workforce but also gives children the strong educational foundation they need to thrive.

Neighborhood House at SPARK opens this Monday, June 30. Click below to watch the full PBS Utah feature. To enroll or learn more, call 801-363-4589 ext. 100/101 or email frontdesk@nhutah.org.

Neighborhood House Summer Celebration Brings the Fun

What a way to start the season! The Neighborhood House annual Summer Celebration brought together families, neighbors, and friends for an unforgettable afternoon of laughter, connection, and community spirit.

From bounce houses and creative crafts to face painting, music, and a resource-filled scavenger hunt, the day was packed with fun for all ages. We’re especially grateful to our presenting sponsor, University of Utah Health Plans, for helping make this celebration possible. Special thanks also go to Select Health and Salt Lake Department of Arts, Culture, and Events for their generous support and commitment to our community.

A big thanks to Little Caesars and Marco's Pizza for keeping us fed and smiling, and to our amazing volunteers from Gathering for Impact, National Charity League Salt Lake Chapter, and those who joined thanks to Kristin Andrus’ call to action.

This annual, free event is one of our favorite traditions. It’s a chance to connect, celebrate, and share resources with the whole community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a joyful day!
