EXCITING EXPANSION COMING SOON

Dear Friends,

Welcome to 2025, and happy new year! 2024 was a resounding success for Neighborhood House as we celebrated our 130 years of service to the community. I want to thank each and every one of you who currently supports our mission and those who have a long legacy of support that has been going on for decades. It is because of you that we can do the work we do and continue to serve our community!

2025 holds exciting developments for Neighborhood House as we expand our services by opening the first preschool satellite location! We are thrilled to partner with Brinshore Development and the Scott W. and Betsy D. Thorton Family Foundation to open our doors to a facility that will serve up to 55 additional children. This is a unique model of public/private partnership that allows our vision to expand to meet the needs of our community. Look for more information to come as we move toward a mid-year opening date! Warmly,

Jennifer Nuttall

WE COULDN'T HAVE DONE 2024 WITHOUT YOU...

First, we want to thank our sponsors, donors, and community volunteers for their generous support over the last year. You have been essential to our mission of providing hardworking families with much-needed assistance in the form of quality daycare, nutrition services, family support services, and internet connectivity. Your contributions are changing lives and strengthening our community every day.

As we step into the new year, we’re proud to reflect on the difference we made together during our 130th anniversary:

  • Provided childcare for 443 children, ensuring they have access to high-quality education and care
  • Cared for 118 adults who rely on us for safe, compassionate daytime assistance while enjoying stimulating activities and engaging with the community
  • Our program provided over 140,000 nutritious meals to the clients.
  • Our Food Pantry served an impressive 14,645 individuals, ensuring access to essential groceries.
  • Our Caring Closet was utilized by 1,184 individuals, offering clothing and essentials to those in need.
  • Our Cyber Center supported 260 individuals, providing access to technology and resources.
  • Hosted 121 engaging intergenerational activities, bringing together 240 participants of all ages for shared experiences.
  • Provided 307 sensory room sessions, offering a calming space for clients who benefit from emotion-related self-regulation and support.
  • Organized 10 Family Fun Nights, creating enjoyable experiences for a total of 2,983 individuals in the community.

Thanks to your generosity, we are giving hardworking families the help they need to improve their daily quality of life. This impact on individual families and the larger community is inestimable.

JANUARY IN PICTURES

This month, we hosted the Intergenerational Thrift Store and Resource Fair as part of our Family Fun Nights. This event provided our clients with free clothing and household items while connecting them to valuable community resources. Our Adult Care Center enjoyed exciting outings, including visits to the Hill Air Force Museum, the Salt Lake City Library, and a fun-filled bowling trip. Additionally, we bring generations together every week through intergenerational events where children and adults engage in enjoyable activities and create lasting connections.
