This year, Neighborhood House took it upon itself to host our very own Oktoberfest! Complete with brats and beer (of the ‘root’ variety), our networking lunch for caregivers, aging agencies, and healthcare services in Salt Lake was deemed a success — and a lot of fun! We had representatives out from a variety of companies, including the Caregiver Support Group, who just recently stopped by to give our adult clients flu shots. Reps were able to enjoy a free lunch of bratwursts and potato salad, while our clients painted pumpkins for Halloween!
Also present were Red Cross volunteers, who took blood donations from the people who stopped by. Did you know one pint of blood can save up to three lives? With fun, friends, food and music, Oktoberfest 2013 was a great time. Didn’t get to come out an join us? Check out some pictures here, or at our Flickr account.
OR come see us THIS THURSDAY at our Family Fun Night. 4:30 – 6:30 pm on Oct. 24. Our Halloween carnival is free and open to the public, and YES, there will be candy, as well as crafts and games designed by the Neighborhood House kids. Wear your costumes, and be on the look out for more details regarding our Halloween party and our CPK FUNdraiser!
