Thursday, September 12’s gloomy weather did nothing to dampen the spirits of over fifty fantastic volunteers who came out to celebrate United Way’s 21st annual Day of Caring. Neighborhood House received help from three amazing companies, transforming our facilities to prepare for our annual Tent Party Fundraiser. We’d like to offer a big thanks to BD Medical, CBRE, and Harland Clarke, whose volunteers braved rain and wind to pick up trash, pull weeds, paint shelving units and walls, and so much more. The grounds are looking incredible, and we can’t wait to show them off!
Additionally, check out a great article about the Day of Caring and Neighborhood House written by a Senior Research Analyst at CBRE and posted in the KSL buisiness section. This is a wonderful reflection on the importance of helping others to build our communities together and achieve a more successful and caring society.
Below is a quick look at all the work the Day of Caring volunteers helped us accomplish. See more photos from this event on our Flickr account.
Thanks again, everyone! We hope to see you all next year!
