|Description:||Looking for a friendly, loving, and patient care giver to work with children age 15-36 months. Create a warm, nurturing environment that caters to each child’s individual needs and schedule. Maintain a safe, secure developmentally appropriate classroom environment where children can experience success. Promote cognitive development, large and small motor skills, social skills and self-help skills. Set appropriate limits and interact with children, parents and staff in a positive, respectful manner. Develop individual learning experiences, use DAP guidance techniques, Create lesson plans and child assessments through the use of TS GOLD, and provide appropriate, creative experiences for toddlers to explore using all of their senses. Maintain confidentiality. Follow all licensing rules and regulations and comply with NAEYC high standards of excellence.
Qualifications: Lead Teacher should have outstanding leadership skills, the ability to easily use computers and technology to create lesson plans and update child portfolios, and have the ability to work well in a team environment. Positions requires a minimum of an Associates or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood or related field, or candidate is currently enrolled in higher education and can maintain schooling with working full time. Must have a minimum of 1 year previous experience working with young children. Must have or obtain a food handler’s permit prior to hire and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire. Employment is conditional upon a clearance from the Utah State Office of Child Care through a background check. Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred but not mandatory.
This is a full time year round position, Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:30pm with a great benefit package available after 90 days of employment.
